People can be brutal, no doubt. I had a car in a show one time and a kid pushing his own stroller hit the side of my car and scratched it...about 5 inches long. I looked at his mother in disbelief and she said 'Really? You own a body shop. You can obviously fix it.' ...and walked away. It's so hard to know what/if people are thinking these days. No judgement but there could be some mental health issues going here. Sad either way.

A couple of years ago I stopped by a local burger place in my 488. It was around 15 minutes before close and they were dead, completely empty parking lot. I parked my car, ordered and waited for my food outside on a nice summer night.

A Jeep pulled up, living its best “stance” life and parked right next to me. Due to the offset of the tires/extended fenders my car was effectively parked in.

A 20 year or so old kid gets out whilst yelling at his girlfriend to not hit my car with her door. He tried to strike up a conversation and I did him one better..
I chatted up his girlfriend and offered her a ride. :p:D

In my case.. she was cute. Not Batchelor contestant cute.. but cute (and drunk). So if I'm REALLY good... I tell her gently "off the car please". I get to pat her on the behind telling her "now now off the car".. and then try to flirt with her that if she wants a ride she'll have to call me? ;)

    Nah. :) I'll pass. :)

I am always shocked when I hear of people damaging your car as a matter of envy, as I live in a pretty quiet, decent city where all the people are friendly.

Yet, the violence of comments like this, written by well off people who in principle should be smarter too, are more shocking to me than that of the miserable folks who as a matter of envy release scratch or spit on your Ferrari.

I mean, finding anyone, even the most attractive and available woman on Earth sitting on my Ferrari would drive me mad and I would likely yell at her, but another thing is to come here to write with disgusting violence.

Conclusion: we are humans, and this situation cannot be avoided unless you stay at home.

    Ciao ciao,
    Nic

I should have posted that she deserves this. This post along with the picture of the woman pissed me off so much that I was prompted to vent my anger with my violent laced reply. Of course I would never commit such an act.

I would have just grabbed a chunk of her hair and then ripped her off the car while spitting on her. Thats a lot less than what those certain men do when they beat their wives on a regular basis.

I once took my viper to a bar and apparently some crackhead climbed on top of it and did a photoshoot. I got to see the pictures on someone's snap chat, but wasn't able to catch her in the act. Thankfully nothing was damaged.

When I was younger my friend and I thought it would be interesting to park our cars (viper and GTR) in front of the bars and see if any women react. One did and flashed us which was cool, but there were a lot of people openly talking about vandalizing our cars in front of us. One guy even said "Bro, I feel like running up that car right there" and thankfully his friend said that was a stupid idea and talked him out of it.

I'm very careful when I take my Ferrari places. People just don't have Ferraris here. If I take it in town, it's pretty much in my sight the whole time. If I take it to a grocery store or a restaurant it's an upscale one. It's kind of disappointing that is what you have to do.

To answer the OP question- When I take my cars out I park them where I can see them- if they are attracting people I go offer to take pics etc- if some moron sits on my vehicle they are going the hospital and I'm going to jail -

I hope that your goal is not to be just a touch better than the psychopaths that beat their psychopathic submissive women - for any violent man there’s a submissive woman with mental problems that prefers his “protection” to going and see the Police.

We’re all humans and hands were made to caress and nothing else, while lips and tongues just to kiss and smile.

    But apparently many forgot.

I am not saying that you should tolerate such misbehaviors, but usually who does such things is at least a bit ill, and you can’t fix it with hands.
    Normal people don’t do that.

Wow, I don't know... every thing you say is right on principle. What intrigued me, however, is your continuing lectures on morals and humanity here in an anonymous internet car forum, simply based on your moral judgement of other people based on their posts. Most importantly you know your lecture likely would not yield any tangible results, yet you continue to lecture.

Did you make yourself feel good writing these or are you actually reminding yourself those things you told others?

    About 45 years ago I was at a race as a spectator at road Atlanta, and I remember seeing a very nice car, I don't remember what kind, parked in the infield area with a very large sign on the windshield that said;
"Please don't sit on this car unless you are naked, buckles zippers and blue jean rivets can scratch."
Well this may help, I would still worry about my alloy hood on my Ferrari getting dented

If this is the case, then how did you type this? You should be busy caressing yourself.

Seriously though, Nic, please stop the preaching. I doubt anyone here would actually respond the way they have written. Most of us didn't get the ability to own a Ferrari by being foolish.

Well, anonymous or not, I am a civilized person and in a nice forum like this I hate reading hate talks of users who write about breaking somebody’s teeth or grasping them by their hair for whatever reason. While everybody’s free to say that they will kill for a scratch on their cars, I am free to tell them that I am disgusted by their inhumanity, and like it or not I believe in what I say.
It does not take a genius or moral judgments to say that violence is wrong in all its forms, anonymous words included.
If this is lecturing to you, I don’t care. I am just disgusted and I tell it.
    Ciao.

I live in a very civilized corner of planet Earth where nobody would ever think to sit on the others’ cars, so you don’t even have to think on how to kill those who might scratch yours. This is such an easy place that you become very intolerant to violence in any form.
For the sake of anonymity, this place is Bologna, where 35% of adults have a university degree: we are strange, relaxed people, too smart to be understood.
    Ciao,

So you are showing your disgust through your preaching, noted. Sigh. And you said inhumanity, wow. You just joined the ignore list which is very short.

Can you please explain me how else I can show my disgust when I read violent and offensive words? Or is it forbidden?
Should I write that the writer is an idiot or what?
Should we tolerate people writing such b******t?
Or should I just stay silent because in the anonymity it is everybody’s right to post all the s*** that is crossing their heads?
You like this wording more than the preaching?
Because if we want to escalate, I am a pro.
    Ciao.

So he gets to post and nicolaprince is going to get banned? Interesting how violence is encouraged and peace is discouraged. Seems to be the case in the world lately.

    1. Why are you directing this inane question my way?
    2. How can you be so dense as to not notice that:
    a) No one, literally no one, encouraged violence.
    b) No one, literally no one, discouraged peace.
    3. Yin gave fair warning regarding his thinly veiled threat about “escalating,” merely stating to not do it, because there may be negative consequences if it involves personal attacks.
    4. Now, why as a grown man (presumably) do you need me to point all this blatantly obvious stuff out to you? Maybe you have spun too much in the nospinzone and are dizzy and confused?

No, you've misinterpreted the issue here, our objective is to discourage verbal violence (flame wars) between users on this site. This is a discussion forum and on this site, users can speak their mind about many topics, as long as they don't attack each other. Gino was talking about a 3rd party in the social media pic and using hyperbole to expess his disdain for the behavior. It's similar to users saying that a scammer who takes the community for big bucks should be "hung". No one believes those kinds of comments are meant to be taken literally. Nicola was making it personal and threatening to escalate the rhetoric against Gino or his defenders if other users didn't agree with his views on violence or forms of expression that he interpreted as violent, even if hyperbolic.

I wasn't directing it at you. You may have missed posts 19, 30 and 32.

I don't agree, I did not misinterpret. I would discuss the point, but I'll shut up lest I get banned.

BTW, ylshih, isn't point #4 above "users can speak their mind about many topics, as long as they don't attack each other" and "making it personal and threatening to escalate the rhetoric" in some violation?

But don't worry, I won't attack nor escalate, done with this thread. :)
