PA JUST approved slot machines. GET IN EARLY!.
All the old gezzers in western PA can't wait to throw away their home heating money on the slots.

That is a great idea & very good question, but have you considered other states besides Miss or NJ? Maybe Oklahoma or Louisiana, the only reason I suggesting this is due to the massive saturation of Casinos in that area.

If you want to start small, you might consider purchasing a bar (or two) with a limited (slots only) gaming license. The cash flow of these places is tremendous, and you have a lot less to worry about than with table games and the hotel side of the business. But like with anything connected in any way with real estate, location is the key.

Reno is full of Casino's for sale! The tricky part is getting approved for a gambling License so you can run them.

How about getting a pool of FChat members together to buy a small Reno Casino? What could a 'fixer-upper', hole in the wall run? $2.0M? Huuummmmmmm!

Completely true. If you're going to try to either do it alone or with a group, if it's in Nevada make sure you're all "squeeky clean". Because if your wife's second cousin knows somebody who was on an episode of The Sopranos, they'll ask you about it. :)

Here in Louisiana they changed the laws on video poker. I don't know what it is now. For a while every place you went into had little dividers set up with a couple machines in them. The truck stops now have really fancy game rooms where the poker machines used to be, lol.

Peter: that last link is about "online gamming companies" :D

I've always wondered about owning a casino as well. Doc - let me know what you discover - very very interested in putting something together.

If only we could get Pachinko to be popular here! :D

Why would someone with a security clearance make such a statement?

    Just curious. :)

That was an OK statement. I have a DOD clearance due to a specific miltary contractor in Southern California that I call on, but mine is on a fairly lower level.
