    Hi All

I want to make sure that my steering rack is firmly bolted onto my 355. I have heard that they can work loose on the C clamps.

To access this do I remove the rear carpet piece from the front compartment only or all the carpet pieces?

Remove the horizontal metal trim pieces. You know which ones these are. There are three of them held in place with phillips screws. You will be able to pull the bottom carpet forward in the corners just enough and access the 13mm bolts with an axtension socket ratchet. Do not take the belts off that hold the toolbox in place. They are held in place by rivets. Do not remove the top portion of the carpet, the big one over the HVAC.
Remove the rubber vertical covers and you will have access to the 13mm bolts. Make sure you tape the socket to the extension so that it does not fall in teh crevices. Between all of the hoses it might be hard to remove it unless you remove the bottom air diffusers.
