Title says it all. Mine's about four years old at least and it's beginning to look a little dirty on the ends of the "fibers". Is there a way to clean it or is it like a chamois in that it gets better with age and usage?

    Cheers,
    Aaron

If its the kind that has parfin on it (which it most likely is) then once it gets too dirty you have to throw it away. If its the parafin free kind then you can wash it.

Find something that you can use to run underneath it that would in effect shake it clean. Some people run the edge of their hands under and shake it.(although your hand can transfer oils) A 14" length, cut off broom handle would work. They claim they work better the dirtier they are. I doubt that.

Mine has an elastic piece around the end and the mop part comes off the plastic handle. I just throw it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle, and then delicates in the dryer. It comes out very nice and fluffy.
