How to clean suede steering wheel?

    I have a suede steering wheel in my hotrod 348. Since I drive it a lot, it's gotten dirty and matted. Any suggestions on how to clean it and restore to suedy?

    Believe it or not, there is a product made for cleaning suede and Alcantera leather. For suede (think coats, shoes and purses) you should be able to find the stuff at a leather goods store. For Alcantera, try BMW parts.

    Stiff wire brush. Not kidding. I ran a suede wheel in my rally cars, just popped it out and brushed it with a brass brush, looked like new.

    This...same brush used for cleaning suede shoes...found at any cobbler or leather care store

    Use a white Staedtler eraser and just erase it. I laughed when I first heard that, but tried it anyway and it worked amazing on my BMW wheel.
