Should have spent the 200 bucks in the first place .... I hope this turns out to be a happy ending. Otherwise there are one or two used immobilizers around I think, be sure to get one with at least one working Fob!!

Special thanks to Eric for cloning my keyfob. My only one keyfob traveled half of the globe from Australia to France and came back in twins. Both keyfobs worked as expected and Eric even replaced my old keyfob's dodgy screw stuck in the case.

    Thank you again Eric!

    Mike,

I had this problem the first time I had a go at cloning. It turned out I hadn't selected the 16 bit mode.

I am looking for another fob I only have one black one. I know of a lock smith who says he can clone it. I would like to have him give it a try first because im a little worried to send my fob out!

I'm throwing in free programming if you buy a fob from me but if you want to let someone else try to figure it out I'd be happy to sell you just a fob.

Took a nice drive to get my FOB cloned by Gobble & I got to say what a great guy and great job. I'm happy to say that I now have 2 fobs that work. I still can't believe that the key I bought fits my car perfectly. Was that lucky or has it happened to others?

Doctor B , don't wait around until Gobble is out of Fobs and then you are at the mercy of the local locksmith! Just put it in a Fed Ex box, insure it for $1000.00 if they lose it, send it overnight to him and you will have two working fobs in three days. He is the man!

After a bunch of panicked message about remotes running out I went and bought all the 993 Fobs sitting in the Porsche regional parts depot. We should be set for a while but now's the time if you want one. They look like this. The Porsche lettering can be scratched off with a blade.

Excellent thread! After reading the first few pages I decided to dig out my old programmer and try to duplicate my 360 FOB. I just tested the "new" FOB and it works perfectly.

Thanks to everyone who provided technical details on this thread.

Anyone who need a fob I would highly recommend Gobble to get the job done. I sent him my only black fob for my 360 he programmed a new one for me and I got it back 3 days later. It worked better than the original !!! With that being said my new fob has a three foot range rather than a 1 foot range. LOL

Look up the thread on extending the alarm range. You'll go from 3 feet to 30 feet in 10 minutes.

    Hi eric,

I would like to contact with you via private message to talk with you about cloning my remote fob, but the forum doesn't give me the option to send you a private message. Could you please give me your e-mail so we can talk privately??

    Thank you in advance.

    Juan
