How to correct carfax???

    I'm still in the process of negotiating for a testarossa - but the carfax is obviously screwed up.

    in 1990 the car had 3000k miles. Multiple DMV visits since, with no mileage listed. Then in 1999, it shows 96,000 miles!!! In 2003 it shows 99,000 miles.

    Obviously a huge mistake - the car has less than 10k miles on it.

    How difficult is this to correct? When I go to the DMV, and show actual mileage, it will likely register as an odometer rollback?!

    What do I do with this info...its obviously wrong...

    HELP!!!

    I have had this situation once before on a non-fcar. I sent them via e-mail (there is a link on the carfax page) - all the relevant info on the car/mistake - they corrected it without a question...

    I'm glad to hear it was easy to do. I thought somewhat else had posted that it was much more difficult, and tooks months of trying???

    Would I have to correct this with the DMV also?

    I don't think you will have to do anything with the DMV... Unless you get flagged for inaccurate milage - but usually if you tell them that what your mileage is - you sign verifing it is correct - so that is all you really have to do there...
