so, my fcar battery went out of juice. i do try to drive it as much as i can, but driving once every 2 weeks isn't enough.

anyway, i want to jump-start my car, i know it's behind the driver seat. how do i take off the lid? do i need to undo any screws? do i just pull it off?

is there any concern i need to know before jump starting?

    thank you

I've read you NEVER jump start in the owners manual(at least in 360... I think the same for 430) It will fry electronics! Put battery on a tender for a couple days and try starting then, or use another battery to juice your current one.

To take off the lid there are two screws on the top , one on each corner , i believe 10mm . My battery has died a few times i have jumped it with no issues. What i do now so the battery wont die is use the cut off switch under the front bonnet when ever im done driving the car for the day.

Never jump start using ANOTHER CAR. However, my 360 Manual says you can boost it using an emerg battery, the type that they sell in the auto stores and I have done it 2 times already. I use an Ion type charger barely bigger than a phablet.

    From the manual, .............

That is probably not the best to do: Every time you start after a battery cut-off, you will have to follow the detailed start-up procedure, and everything has to be "learned" from scratch. Most likely, your car never gets the monitors set, and you could have a hard time passing smog. Also, any pending CEL or real CEL are erased. You should use a battery tender, but perhaps you don't have access to a power outlet.

Yes this is true , after i use the cut off, the car has a rough time finding its idle, after a few min its fine . I use this method all the time , i have a tender on the car now since i dont drive it at all in these months . but when i use it periodically thats what i do

i just finished my jump start.

what was ferrari thinking when they decided to put the positive and negative ports for jump start??

"o why dont we put it right behind the driver seat, it will be really annoying to insert the key. yea that will definitely piss off the owners when they have to jump start"

everything else went well. i just took it for a spin for abount 20min or so. gonna try starting it up again in about 5min or so

anyway, thanks for the help guys :)

I would've replaced the battery, but since you jumped it, why didn't you just connect to the battery in the passenger foot well?
