My engine starts very quickly, the quality of spark must be good, the fuel pump must be ok too.

The engine may start right off and your spark may be quite good but that does not mean nothing is wrong with the ignition. Its easy to check, a cheap timing light will do it for you, start the motor and look at the timing marks as you rev the motor, if your advance weights are not perfect you will get that stumbling you are getting.

Just like the accelerator pump not working as I mentioned in my earlier post, checking the ignition advance curve and checking the accelerator pump function is free and easy to do.

In my personal opinion, the ignition advance system is a weak point on these cars, it requires regular lubrication to keep in proper working order and the advance curve is pretty critical for these cars to run smoothly.

Thanks! I will mention to the mechanic about the fuel pump and advance weights. I think he already changed my rotor points not too long ago.

Just a quick clarification, its not fuel pump that I am talking about its the accelerator pumps, 3 of them, 1 in each carburator.

Why would you ever find yourself at 2000 rpm while driving
a Dino except when accelerating from a standstill?

If you like to drive, upshift at 7000+ and downshift, with
a good blip, at 3500 to 4000. That's how it was made
    to be driven.
