You remember, 2 or 3 days ago, I had some troubles with my 348.
With your help, I solved the problem.... and I found an unusable immobilizer.
I goal is to disconnect this part to put the harness back to original condition.

PIC1: You can see the immobilizer pug disconnected

PIC2: the immobilizer (I suppose it is)...

PIC3: there 2 connectors on it. One connector with 2 wires and the second one with 10
    wires.

PIC4: the two wires (connector one) are connected on the blue wire and blue/black wire
    on the big green connector.

PIC5:the 10 wires of the second connector are not connected on the relays box but directly on the harness.
    Here are the colors of these wires: 2 X red, 2 X blue, 2X brown, 1Xblack, 1X gray and 2X purple/white.

Could you tell me how to put all these wires out ?

    thanks guys

I'd love to help you, Marc, but right now I have no time. I have a car show in about 7 hours and I need to get some sleep!

It might help if we knew the maker and the model of the immobilizer, just in case we can find an installation guide on the internet.

    Dear friends,
here are the infos I've found on the relay.
I don't have any information's about the factory.
on the relay, there is the ref 20UNI04, with European community 'CE' logo.
inside, on the electronic plate: BC2XQY.B Rev.1.
also inside, there is a sitcker.... '109 02/07' ... it seems to be a date and I immagine the profuction date is 02/07..... so it is NOT the original immobilizer !

Jeff, do you have an idea?

    Hi Marc,

I may have misunderstood but I think you are complicating matters slightly, if you want to remove this immobiliser then you do not have to panic about the relay and all the cables, you need to simply trace the main 'cut' wires back to the loom. This is usually a starter cut and an ignition cut, if these are found (usually behind the main fuse panel) then the factory cables can be extended and rejoined, all the other wires will be power and ground feeds on a basic immobiliser.

So let me get this straight? You're advertising how to circumnavigate one of the security systems on a Ferrari?

I appreciate that you've had issues that require this work around (or so I'm led to believe), but surely this isn't exactly a wise thing to show off on the Internet?

Might just be me, but I find this a tad bizarre.

Unless I've TOTALLY got the wrong end of the stick - in that case accept my apologies for causing even more confusion, and good luck with your challenge!

    Scoobydoo55,
I'm not sure who your reply is aimed at but if you think that any of the information shown in this thread is anything new to the types of people who steal cars then you are highly deluded!! This is 20 year old technology! Thieves don't bypass alarms and immobilisers any more, they steal your keys at knife point, lazy and uneducated scum

You are right, it is a 20 years old car......
And the immobilizer seams to be a 2007 (NOT ORIGINAL)system.
But I don't have any infos about the installed immobilizer...
There is an antenna so it works with remote control.... but I don't have remote !!!
So the system doesn't work any more.... But if I disconnect the immobilizer, the car doesn't start.
So I want to put the immobilizer out to install a new one.

2007 isn't that old..... but hey, you guys know your cars.

Personally, I just think it's daft giving any type of information like this out, after all, "we" promote the masking of license plates for the hiding of information.... this seems the same.

And FWIW, certainly not having a go - it's just a alien concept to me to actively promote and help the underworld :D (and I accept that it's nothing new, but there's always some opportunistic idiot who'd "google" this type of thing)

    All imho, of course.

Either way, I certainly hope the OP gets the problem sorted quickly and easily :)

ps - didn't want to "get off on the wrong foot" (my post-count dictates my "newness"!)
I'm here to learn as much as I can prior to my 348/355 purchase :)

It's just that security issues and related paranoia run rife around the circles of motoring I used to frequent.

Something that's stuck with me :(
