I mentioned in a thread last week during one of the Porsche discussions that I knew where there was a 914 buried. I actually saw this next to a house while working the winter of 85-86 as an oil truck driver for a company that a friend of mine owns. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. Well I forgot about it for all these years , until last week when something made me think about it while reading that thread. Anyway... I found myself about 2 miles from that spot today while doing a job proposal, so I figured I'd see if I could find it. I didn't remember exactly, but it only took about 10 minutes and there it was. I took this picture from the street because I didn't want to trespass or encounter the homeowner. I think you can make it out....

Although underpowered the 914 was a great car - sad ending :(

That's terrible!! I remember my 914 as one of the most enjoyable cars I've ever owned. Power be damned, it drove like it was a go-kart...

People can dis' the 914 all they want. Get one on the twisties, pop the top, and enjoy a simpler time. I hope my 914 didn't get buried in some pasture. It provided too many good times and deserves a better final resting place.
