My friends father owned some incredible cars.

I'm crawling around the workshop today, and he points to a Rubbermaid container, that houses a set of carbs for (allegedly) a Maserati A6GCS.

His father owned a regular A6 1500, no frills, but was around some incredible cars in his life, including owning one of the SII GTO's.

So, these Webers sit, and I'm scratching my head, wondering, is it possible to track down the original car they came off of? Do the serial numbers on the side of them produce such information/were records kept? Or did A6's come with DO2's and A6GCS with something else?

Any expert advice would be great.
