Rod Stewart is coming to Boston in February - my mom loves his music. So I wanted to get her tickets.

I wanted to get floor seats, but I just heard about the concert and floor tix sold out (I got balcony as a backup, hoping to get floor).

Other than eBay, craigslist and ticketmaster, is there any other options??

I heard a radio commercial for some website that sells good tickets but I cant remember the name.

And I don't suppose anyone has an in, do they? :) I can get good floor seats for $400 on eBay but I was hoping to spend around $200-250 or so (tickets are face value of $100/ea for floor)

you can try your luck with ticketmaster, I have been able to get floor seats just a couple rows from the stage when they "Said" the area was sold out. Keep in mind, many times they do not release all the seats at once. They release a number of floor seats then focus on filling up the nose bleeds. Just spam their web site take the best seats you can get, and keep trying for better ones, if you get better seats give the old ones to friends (I did) and enjoy the view from the front row.

    Good luck...

ooh another way would be changing your hair to blond, getting yourself a Double D Rack!! and lots of Red Lipstick... and Gum!

I'll keep my eyes on ticketmaster then...

I checked Stubhub and ticketsnow... people are asking more than they can be bought right now on ticketmaster for! I can see if they were sold out, but they are asking $190 for tix you can get today for $90!

This probably wont help your situation and im not so sure this even works with Ticketmaster anymore. But this is what i used to do....
Needed World series tix for the Yankees. When they are released the phones are jammed. So i would call like a local office in ST. Louis, Mo. and buy them thru them. Worked a few times that i tried it.

Did you purchase the tickets for the upper levels already and can at least get into the show? Boston is a tough show because there are a lot of important people in the area but I will see what I can do about getting you moved up front.

In Paris, when i wanted good seats for concerts that were already sold out , i asked the concierge at the Plaza Athenee. He always got me the tickets , at a premium of course , but reasonable one.

If you know the concierge at any 5stars hotel, its worth a shot.

I hate to say this but buy them from a scalper a couple of hours before the show.

Back in November of this year, I really wanted to see Primus. I waited too long & getting good seats & were way too hard to find. I tried online but some tickets were going for as much as $75 to $300 plus. At that point I was ready to forget the whole event but I had some friend that were going to the show & I didn't want to miss out, I've been trying to make one of there shows for the past 15 years.

Anyway, I meet some of my friends out side of the arena & I went for the ticket dealer that was selling leftover tickets just to get rid of them. I wasn't sure at first. I was afraid of getting ripped off by someone that made some fakes on a PC. I looked over tickets & they were the real thing, the kicker was they were for 5th row center from the stage for $50. Best deal I ever made with one hour until the show started.

Check back at Ticketmaster On line the day of the show. A few hours before most shows, they release any left-over seats that were held. I got 14th row center Who tickets a few months ago the day before the show right from TicketMaster.

SShhhhhh... Dont give out the secret.

    Edward,

I talked to my sister today (who was charged with getting the tix) and she told me she decided not to get them "yet", because the loge seats were not available when she went online.

I found floor section 9 rows back from the front for $399 on eBay. I hate to pay that much but it is my mom and she's a saint, and she loves Rod Stewart, and its probably the only time she'll see him, so if it comes to that I'll do it, I just wont say I paid that much over face value :)

But if you think there is anything you can do, let me know - I could buy the tix higher up if there was some way to get moved later. I don't know what you'd be able to do but if it was anything I would sincerely be immensely in your debt.

Or try the box office the afternoon of the show as promoters will release seats that the band/record co. don't need. Also some may be released if the mix position is smaller than the area pulled.(Not bloody likely, but it does happen)
