So does anybody know how to maintain Neutral when out of the Car?

My dilema is this. I got my 296 delivered with a horrilbe amount of dirt all over it. Car was in St. Louis and shipped by Ferrari's choice of Transporter to me in CA. Arrived a totally a mess, like it was left in rain with a dust storm, so Transporter said they would pay to have it detailed again. So I was going to put it on my Futura (kneeling) Trailer to take it down to my Detailer... but each time I opened the door to get out of the car, the brake automatically engaged. I don't know anything about the Car since it's new to me so after two attempts I said screw it I'll just drive it down to the detailer and have someone pick me up.

So I don't have the Users Manual yet, and I want to know how I can get the car in neutral when I'm OUT of the Car, because the 296s Track width only leaves me about 3/4" to 1" on each side of the trailer rails... and that is way to tight for me to drive it on the trailer without a guide person and be safe. My trailer has a winch that also makes it easy to draw a car up on the trailer and just guide it with your hand on the steering wheel from outside the car.. but doing that requires I get the car in neutral when out of the car, so i don't know if i missed something obvious, but like I said, it just kept putting the brake on each time I tried to get out of the car. Maybe I have to just reach inside after i'm out and unselect the brake but didn't have time to try. So looking for some advice to figure this out since i pick up the car next week from the detailer.
