John - Yes, I have TR tan/black in stock. My photos aren't quite as good, but the stitching and backing is basically the same as the 348 ones you've already seen. http://ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?cPath=17&products_id=261182 If you have other questions, shoot me a PM and we'll keep this commercial stuff out of the main thread.
John, you got me motivated. Here's what I did... I bought a grommet kit (got lots left, if you want to try this). Then a small piece of thin speaker wire attached to a split ring at one end, passed through the grommet, then wrapped around the 6mm allen bolt. Seems to work great and is hardly noticeable. I did that in my TR and it works well since the holes are very small just enough for the zip. Roland F40LM
mike, that works great, I'll take a look at my mats this afternoon. I think Mine reach back to the front of the track already.
Mine do too, actually, but I left enough room on the wire for it to move forward slightly but without touching the gas pedal and for the rear edge of the pedal to sit at the edge of the indented area just ahead of the track support. I could shorten the wire a bit more if I wanted to bring them right against the front of the track.
I too got tired of floor mats sliding forward and causing unwanted acceleration. 1) tie wrap around the seat rail 2) punch small hole at seam of mat (exacto knive works) 3) insert tie wrap, tighten and trim When you want to wash the mats or carpet, simply snip the inserted tie wrap and replace. Of course now that I took the pics I noticed I put the tie wrap through the mat upside down. It would be a little less visible the other way. In either case you have to be looking for it to see it. I bought Birdman's floor-mat grabbers, they work great, no more Italian cruise control. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138117&highlight=Birdman+carpet
i used the 1" wide spring-loaded binder clips from staples. clip the side of your mat to the carpet and the rear of your mat to the carpet and you're all set!
I put 2 Brass eyelet hole at the end where the seat is you can get them on a Camping store the ones the put on Tents to hold them down then i put a velcro band true them 1/2" wide Black and fasten both sides to the chair railing NOT the chair so the never move works real well and for little cost and when you like to clean them it is very easy
Stock early 308GTBs have snaps into the mat, to the floor..... Look in 308 Section for Birdman's spring clips!!! HTH
I am gonna try something , as my rug slips under the clutch pedal, and cant disengage the clutch completely cuz pedal hits rug, and causes dog teeth grind in my synchros.....BAD!!
Birdman sells a specially made holder which does not ruin the mat nor the undercarpet. Check out his site to see them.
