    Gang,

As stated in my post in the 348/355 forum here:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355/426891-keys-fob-stolen-need-replacement-sources-asap.html

I had my DD broken into and the thieves got away with not only my briefcase but also my one and only 355 key and alarm fob. I thought I did not have the PIN and was looking at replacing the entire alarm/immobilizer system and dropping a lot of $$$ in doing so.

I have since found the original PIN in my docs. What now? How can I order a blank set of fobs and have them keyed with the PIN to operate/disable my alarm and immobilizer?

    All sources and suggestions appreciated!!

Obi Wan you're my only hope!

I believe the earlier poster was correct, in mentioning to turn it on to the insurance company. Sounds like it is going to be a considerable amount of money, to fix. Even if you have a 500 or 1000 deductible, you should still be many hundreds of dollars ahead, with what the insurance company will pay. Good luck!

Ketel- With proof of ownership, your Ferrari dealer can order a new set of three fobs with a new alarm PIN. Before then, you will need a new lock cylinder that comes with two new igntion keys and cylinders for both doors. Sets have been running about $500 on E-Bay or Daniel may be able to get a set for you (keys, not fobs).

Once you have the key cylinders replaced, you can start her using the PIN code with key strokes alone. A pain, but it will get you mobile until the new fobs come in. You can then program the alarm ECU to accept the new set of three fobs and new PIN in the red fob.

Alternatively, it might be possible for a locksmith to take your cylinder and match a key to it, but I am not certain that would work.

Here are instructions on how to start her with just the PIN and the key you do not have yet. Plus how to program the ECU to accept your new set of fobs, which you also do not have yet.

Until you get new keys (or a key), you have a very expensive planter. Unfortunately, this will ultimately be pretty expensive. Here is the lock set you need and it is a "call" item from Ricambi.

Good luck in getting just the Fobs. My 355 cam with 2 fobs and the PIN code.
Unfortunately lost the other fob earlier this summer. After proving once again that I owned the car to FNA I was able only to order the ENTIRE Alarm kit. Could not just order a fob set. Consists of 2 ECUs and 3 Fobs. Dealer must install which I am fine with.

Cost - North of 2K for the kit. Cheaper ways? Probably but I wanted to keep it original. If I was just adding a FOB I would get an extra one cloned. Pros and Cons with that as well with keeping them sync'd

Took about 2-3 months to get the kit in from Italy. Hope to have it installed later this month when I can trailer the car to Chicago.
