    Hello,
I apologise if this is may not be seen as truely Ferrari related as this site intends but I recently purchased a Ferrari dealer sign from a gentleman from Fort Lauderdale and from photograghs and conversation knew the sign was in mint condition. It was sent by USPS after being really well packaged and marked fragile and stating the contents was made of plexiglass, to my disgust, it arrived damaged with clear signs of it being dropped/thrown on its corner.I contacted the UK Parcelforce who were responsible for its delivery once in UK and have been told to seek redress from USPS as they were the initial contact and to claim against them.
I have been trying to find a contact for them on the net and every avenue I take comes up with a blank, please does anyone know of how I can pursue my claim against them from England or provide me with a contact address?
    Thanking you in anticipation, Tom

I don't have personal experience with the USPS, but with other cariers (FedEx, UPS, etc...) the shipper (aka sender) usually has to initiate the claims process for visible or concealed damage or complete loss. I could be wrong, but I would contact the seller to have them initiate the claims process.

    H.ello Matt,
Thanks for your quick reply and advice, I will contact the seller as he is aware of the situation and is a decent gent who was just as annoyed as I was after the care he took in packing the sign in the first place and see if he can pursue it for me.Thanks once again, Tom.

I deal with a lot of this here in the printing industry.. and to be honest once it has been signed for, good luck making a claim. but yes have the shipper call about it, they should have insured it from what is was worth. but yeah..FedEx and UPS with give you the run around since you signed for it which kinda states that its in good shape and you'll take it. Good Luck.

I sent some Daytona rotors once via USPS over 2 years ago. They never arrived. I sent out 2 more on my nickel so the customer would be happy and filed a claim. I JUST got my check. For the full COGS amount and shipping. Keep on them and it'll happen.

But on the flip side--I have been told by my UPS driver, the buyer cannot open the package and inspect it without signing for it....So what are you supposed to do?
