Finally found the CAD file (attached as the .fpd.zip files) one is cheaper than the other as it has less engravings. The more expensive one is very close to Stock as you can see in the pictures. It requires a free CAD application called "free panel designer", which is available for the companies listed below.

In theory you could just order your unit by mailing this directly through the application, which will also give you the detailed price breakdown. My advice is to install the app, open the file and make sure the measurements fir your particular car as I have noticed different features on different Mondials for different countries, so you may need to edit the little symbols for fog lights, central locking, antenna etc.

I have made a second panel that deletes the ashtray and has two car instrument sized round cut outs, where I will fit the cat EGT dial and then an innovate wideband AFR gauge so I can monitor the fueling and engine health.

An I have made another which fits a set of switches which have back lighting. Once I figure that circuit out, I will make another panel to replace the one where the clock and the boot switches are on, so I can exchange all the switching gear with better quality stuff.

Right now I wanted to keep to a stock look.

This design is for black anodized aluminum, and has the necessary insets etc. so to ensure it just slips on as if it were the plastic unit.

Enclosed are pictures of the one I made for my car, and aside for the lack of night lighting, I must say I am quite pleased.

There are various companies where you can get the software (free download) and that can fulfill the order in the US an Europe:
    emachineshop.com in Mahwah NJ
www.shaeffer-ag.de in Berlin Germany (ships to any European destination - where I ordered mine)

I am experimenting with making custom parts that are NLA or very expensive, like the sprockets that drive the suspension actuators etc.

Mine cost about 140 Euro including shipping.

(I also reconnollized the seats myself - piece of cake, a small modeling airbrush and matched dye, a sunny day and 4 hours, excluding removal and refitting)

    Enjoy...

I'd like to do this as my plastic panel is warping some. What about the nightlights? Any thoughts, as I already have a hard time finding the right switch when it's dark? Did you price it form emachineshop as well?

After a few weeks of using the car I have memorized the switch positions...

I had it priced by the German firm, I am sure emachineshop is cheaper being US based.

The AC buttons are themselves backlight. I bought a Ferrari 360 rear view mirror a while back... I took it apart, put 2 small low intensity RED leds and a switch at its lower edge, and ran a small black straw from the roof lining edge to the base of the mirror and a very small black cable inside it.

It is wired to the cockpit lighting circuit, and can be operated by the built-in rheostat, so I can vary the intensity of the light

The red LEDs are pointed towards the center console, so the white symbols are clearly visible. Regardless, looking at them moves your eyes so far off the road that you lose peripheral vision, so you should commit them to memory...

As a pilot I always commit all critical controls to touch memory...

Seats (and all tan interior) took 4 hours with my son's model spray gun and an appropriately mixed dye. It was satin textured so to avoid shine. Matt is too deep.

Diluted with acrylic model paint thinner and sprayed on very lightly. This prevented running and also did not saturate the stitching.

Where do you get the plastic for this?

I have a switch that is missing a plastic cover over my vent switch LEDS and I'm searching for a similiar replacement plastic sheet to cut the shape from.

    Looks great!

I did the same thing from a similar place here called Front panel express, but I chose to use anodized aluminum for my panels. There is a thread a couple of years ago and we made some for a few folks.
As said, you give up the back lighting, but I personally hate plastic and now have the stock look in more durable aluminum.

    Good work!

Here are some shots from the previous threads years ago. I replaced the switch panel (adding US lighter socket), back panel and made a cup holder where the cassette holder went, all in aluminum.
