How to Pack a Roll Bar for Shipping?

    I’ve decided to sell the roll bar from my RX-7 (on 7 forums or EBay) & am wondering how to pack it for shipping. Can’t remember how it was when I got it years ago. It’s an SCCA race bar -not just a simple hoop. How should I pack it & who to send by? Suggestions welcome. Thanks.

    cut in 6 pieces should fit in a box 14'' x 14".

    Hi Karen,
    I would wrap the bars in foam and then wrap the entire structure with cellophane film (similar to Saran Wrap).
    Something that large would have to go by freight instead of UPS/USPS/FedX. I would call a trucking company. A mover might offer piggyback space on one of their vehicles.

    Yeah, wrapping in bubble was what I was thinking. Then in cardboard or something. Any of you guys want to be wrapped & photographed. I'll pay shipping.
