Please keep in mind the procedure below was not provided to me by a Ferrari technician, so I cannot tell you that it is the correct way. In my honest opinion, the only correct way to raise a Ferrari into the air is by using a scissor or post lift. But in lieu of access to a Ferrari technician, a scissor or post lift, and a lack of information on the internet; the procedure I used sat the best with common sense and my delicate sensibilities.

From my research on the limited information I was able to find, I decided the safest way would require the rear diffuser be removed. Doing so allows access to the rear crossmember so the rear end can be raised at once (as opposed to jacking up each corner individually). This sat well with me considering the weight in the rear end with the engine. The rear crossmember is used by Ferrari technicians to temporarily support the rear end in order to remove the rear lift arms of a post lift so the underbody shield can be removed to access the drain plugs. This is the only point on the vehicle that is safe to use (other than the jack points).

Technically, if you wanted to avoid removing the rear diffuser, you could jack up the vehicle from the jack points and place the jack stands under the lift points (remember to use hockey pucks). However it significantly decreases the chances of the vehicle shifting its weight off of the jack stands when raising the final corner. That gives me the heebie jeebies.

Step 1: Engage the parking brake.
Step 2: Place floor jack under driver side rear jack point and raise vehicle.
Step 3: Place jack stand under driver side front lift point.
Step 4: Remove the bolts you’re able to access on the drivers side of the rear diffuser.
    Step 5: Lower vehicle.
Step 6: Place floor jack under passenger side rear jack point and raise vehicle.
Step 7: Place jack stand under passenger side front lift point.
Step 8: Remove the remaining bolts on the rear diffuser. Lower slowly and disconnect the two electrical wires on the driver side of the diffuser. Place it aside.
    Step 9: Lower vehicle.
Step 10: Place floor jack under the rear crossmember that has been exposed by the removed the diffuser and raise rear end.
Step 11: Place jack stands under both driver and passenger rear lift points.
    Step 12: Lower vehicle.

    Done!
