I need to replace the TOB on my 94 348. I do not see how to press the T/O bearing out of the housing. Search's here have turned up several threads where this has been done but no detail on how the backside of the bearing was accessed. I would appreciate any pointers on how to do this.

    Thanks,

It is part of the slave cylinder. Typically serviced as an assembly.

Thanks to responses from 2NA and 348Jeff. I agree Hill is a far superior bearing and my plan is to go in that direction. I'm dissecting the OEM part because I'm inquisitive.

After cleaning the T/O bearing flange I found 2 small holes under the extensions the springs fit in. The holes go thru the flange to the bearing. By putting a drift pin in each hole the bearing pressed out with no problem using my shop press. The challenge now is to source a new bearing. I expect this will be a problem but planning a trip to the local bearing house in the morning anyway.

    Thanks,
