How to Reconnect CEL on a 97 F355?

Apparently the previous owner of my 97 F355 Spider had the CEL disconnected and used test pipes with the vehicle. I am now trying to pass CA smog and need to reconnect the CEL light and possibly the slow down light. It appears the CEL light is connected to pin 8 of the Motronic 5.2 ECU however, no wires seem to be cut around the ECU. Where would someone typically disconnect the CEL wire?

 

I found out what was modified. The CEL bulb was removed and the lens was shifted so a different light would light up the CEL momentarily on startup. Now I just need to figure out the correct positions for each of the dash lights to fix the problem.
