I have a 1996 F355 Spider. I've removed the 3 screws at the top of the scoop, the 2 nuts at the bottom and the 2 nuts at the front of the door jamb. I can pull the scoop out from the back a little bit but something still seems to be holding it in place at the front. The diagram shows a nut near the bottom front of the door through a hole accessible from the inside of the door. My door panel is off but I don't see this hole or nut where the diagram shows it. Is there another nut somewhere? Is there a difference between a '96 and later model 355's that the diagram doesn't show? What else needs to be removed? I'm stuck (no pun intended). :)

    Hi Jerry,

I had one off recently - I'll have a look at mine when I get home but you might be missing a screw or two near the door handle. Also, the 2 studs (held on by nuts) near the door hinge are a bit stuck to the back support (the panel that is) so you need to push on the studs to break the panel free if you follow what I'm saying.

Some nuts and washers, 2 on the leading edge, 2 on the bottom side, then at least 2 or 3 bolts on the area near the door handle. One a bit fwd of the handle the others at the handle.

    Watch the washer stack up.

    Hi Jerry,

I checked when I got home - you have all the hardware so I believe you are ready to remove. Probably stuck panel areas. Remember to pull front of panel outward first (pull studs out).

The nut that looks to go thru door panel area does not - it's door frame.

Thanks everyone. I think I've got it now. I just didn't want to pry too hard at the front and risk breaking something since I've never had the scoop off before.

Once again....FChat to the rescue! :)
