How to remove AC vent alarm LED

    I need to remove the alarm LED in order to solder one of the wires that has dislodged. I can't move the lamp housing far enough rearward to remove from the AC vent. Is there a trick? The parts manual diagram tells me it does come out.....????

    Ok...I got it out and repaired. A little nerve racking because it sits under a plastic clip that looks very breakable:
    Took a helper to hold the clip up as far as possible, and then I was able to twist the LED housing and pull up and out.
    Just as agonizing to get back in, but I did it and works perfectly.

    The clip breaks easily, when putting it back in, if that clip breaks, it can be epoxied back on easily.

    I was lucky to bend it without any breaking. One of those things you can feel you are bending it near its limit........I got lucky.
