I need to replace the hose that goes from the nipple on the driver's side of the tank to the lowest nipple on the fuel vapor accumulator (disareator in F speak) in a 1995 355. The fitting over the nipple on the tank has some sort of built in clamp that that I can't get to to release. Is there a "special tool" for getting this off so that I can replace the hose, or is there another way to get this off?

    Thanks.

They are a bit of a pain to get off. You need to lightly pinch the clip so that the "hooks" on the bottom are spread. When they spread they aren't clipped to the bottom of the tube. The clips tend to get stuck to the o-rings, which is why hey don't come off easy. So what I have done is, pinch the clip and try and wiggle it up with a large standard/flat screwdriver. This link has a a lictureof what I'm talking about. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/137616317-post9.html Just be careful not to break the plastic, which is why it's a bit of a pain to get off. You can also try twisting the fitting a little bit to get it to loosen up.

    Hope that helps.
