On my Autoart BMW Z8, it came with 2 stickers sealing the trunk shut, and after I removed them there is still some sticky remains

How can I get it off without damaging the red paint?

I use Griot's adhesive remover (from Griot's Garage) on 1:1 Ferrari windscreen decals. I think it would be OK on the paint, but take the usual precautions.

You can always lift adhesive residue with a stronger tape!

Duct tape to the rescue again! Try it sometime....

Does it work on paper? I have some labels inside book covers that I'd like to remove without damaging the book.

I never tried goo gone on a book, but I don't think I would try it.
Its best on plastic and metal.
