How to remove the black plastic grill on the trunk lid

    The black plastic grill has faded some and I would like to remove it and refinish it. It appears to have three snap fasteners but I am afraid to pull them. Thank you.

    You need to start by removing the HVAC plenum ("air conveyor") that is riveted to the bottom side of the front hood (355 shown in the image below).

    Basically the same for the 348; early cars have three attach points while the later one have 5 (more secure, less warpage).

    Drill out rivets then undo the black plastic clips that hold the grill on (be careful with those)

    Me too, very easy to do and nice upgrade from the warped plastic junk.
