    Hi there

I am installing an ipod/iphone interface in my 2005 F612 and would like a little 'elbow room' when routing the cables.....and of course for the interface itself.

Does anybody know how to remove the CD-storage in the front console just below the radio unit? It seems to hold/clip on to the double DIN frame in some way...

Maybe it would be easier removing the double DIN frame? The double DIN frame is secured with 2 screws at the top. But removing these screws don't allow me to remove the double DIN frame, as it also seems to hold on to something at the bottom (maybe holding on to the climate control unit)?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Kind regards from Sweden

Those slots on the top and bottom of the holder look like they are for a key that fits in to release it. That would be my guess without having done it before.

You need to remove the frame and you will see behind how to remove the CD slots. I had to take one apart last month for a 612 sticky job....

But how do I remove the frame?

I have already removed the 2 screws at the top, but the frame also seems to hold on to something at the bottom???

    Has anyone done this?

I also need to remove my radio surround to send into StickyNoMore. The CD door has become tacky. The top screws for the radio surround look straightforward, it's the bottom I'm not sure about. I assume the climate control just below needs to come out. Any tips on how?

    Thanks,
    Erik
