    Hi everybody,

I've decided to remove both, the right and left kick plate (number 13 and 14 in the attached schema), in order to improve them. What is the best way to do this?

    Thanks in advanvance.

Mine were removed with something like a cord. That way you could pierce it on both sides of the plate and start moving it left and right to cut the glue underneath the plate.

FYI I just did this on my car and they had been removed in the past, someone used about a quart of adhesive to hold each them down. Just be prepared people that it might take some time to get it off if you had bubba work on your car in the past!

I did the usual thing with a seam Buster same as a big knife or long spatula you will get them off.
I wasn't worried about destroying mine because it was corroded pretty bad as well, I ended up bending it all to hell no other way it was coming off in a timely manner. HAHA

    Yup. Good advice.

I used a heat gun and a string slid underneath.

Much like pressure washers, heat guns can do some great things...and some not so great things. Be patient & be careful

The kick plate is glued to it.
