    Hey guys,
Just want to know if someone would tell me how to remove the trim at defrost vents. It is sticky and I would like to remove it to have it cleaned and refinished.
    Thanks,
    Edgar

They are mounted with one way push clips. The push clips are one way friction clips that grab onto the posts of the defroster vents. The proper way to remove the vents is to remove the dash board and remove the clips from underneath.
Some people force the vents off from the top, break the mounting posts and glue them back into a place.
I would personally just try to clean them in place. Make sure you cover the dashboard so you don't damage the leather.

    Hey guys,
I wanted to report that I was able to clean defroster vents in place. Just take an old white cotton tshirt and cut it in small pieces. ( 4" x 4" sections ) Use nitrile gloves and then dampen the pieces of tshirt with denatured alcohol. Rub the vents gently and you will see the sticky stuff come right off. It took about 25 minutes to do. It looks great!

Same procedure will get the goo off of your glove box button as well. I think all the rest have to be sent to SNM. Different coating.

So far, I have cleaned ashtray, steering shroud, and defroster vents successfully with denatured alcohol. No damage to the plastic. Afterwards use Armorall for a shiny surface. I'm happy with results.

Good to know. Didn't know steering shroud would clean up with denatured alcohol.

They all came out great. Not a big fan of the Armor All look though.

Why is your phone button gray? You removed the black sticky coating and that is what it looked like underneath I bet. :D
