Small screws under the rubber and glued in place. Can be removed if you heat carefully and use a thin long knife. Very time consuming if you want them to come off in one piece...

As Johan said, go very carefully! Are you removing them to reapsint the rust patch or to replace them completely?

Your trim looks slightly different to mine? Looks like yours does not extend to the outer edge of the car sill.

For my trims the metal plate (with inset rubber) has three very small screws holding it into place, one at each end and one at roughly the centre, along the trims inside edge. Once the screws have been removed, lift the trim slightly along that previously screwed edge. Now, with the trim slightly lifted, tap bit by bit all along that inside edge (I simply use my palm), tapping in a direction toward the outside of the doorway. This is necessary to dislodge the trim, which has a form that when fitted wraps all along the door sills outer edge.

Once you've removed these trims for the first time it is easy to repeat. I had my trims re-powder coated when I bought the car, I now remove them once every year when it goes in for its annual MOT test (UK roadworthiness test). If I don't take them off for sure they 'will' get dented/scratched by a fitters boot! I used to put carboard over them but its just as quick to remove and refit the actual trims once a year.
