So I had my 308 & Countach in my garage in CT with a SEARS dehumidifier

Turns out that wasnt good enough

The Countach isnt too bad just smells a little moldy, probably easy to fix

The 308 interior is in worse shape. How can I restore this ?

Do I have to reskin it or can I just have it professionally cleaned ?

    Thanks

Call the Lexol peeps but I'm sure you can use something like this and just clean and recondition it.

I agree...sometimes here in the tropics after a rain I see some fuzz growing..

Use Carpet cleaner on rugs, Lexol or equal on leather and finish with Griot's Leather conditioner..

Smoke a Macanudo and spill a little Booker's on the next run.....you're good to go!

    Hope it all works out...

As long as you don't have any kind of mushrooms growing, you should be ok.

Hi William...Leatherique products would be my suggestion also.

I've used their products on all the interiors of the F-Cars with nothing but exceptional results over the past several years. Their Rejuvinator Oil and Pristine Cleaner both should take care of your problem and leave your interiors smelling like fresh leather. The directions are easy to follow, just might take more than one application depending on how dirty / dry the leather is. If it needs redye, then they can handle that also.

George (the owner) personally assisted me in doing the redye on the interior of the 308. He or his wife would be happy to discuss your specific needs in that regard over the phone. They also will do the work for you, for a fee of course.

Color-Plus has an excellent citrus cleaner that would get almost anything out of the leather. They also have a rejuvenator oil that works wonders, and their color coating is easy to work with. I have used both Leatherique and Color-Plus and like the Color-Plus system better. Easier to work with and the results are just as nice. YMMV.

Oh...forgot to mention that you can simply wipe down your interior leather using a bar of Ivory soap and a small pail of warm water with a rag and dry with terry towel in the meantime while you decide on a leather product to apply.

This is the only stuff I have ever used that gave noticable results. It brought back a bad interior on a 1959 car so well that I now love the "patina". In my opinion Lexol is a total waste of time and elbows.

Ozonation: Ozone generated by an ozonator placed in the car for a day with doors and windows closed should do the trick. I have used them before in similar situations. Ozone also works well in basements for the same reason. The process operates by building a high level of the gas which is necessary for it to work. You can't be in the area during treatment. A time clock works well and can operate when no one is within the enclosure. Check the various web sites on mold control.
