After a coupla of years fixing up my 1986 328 and enjoying it, I have decided the Ferrari Life is really for me. Now I want to move up to a newer 8 cylinder like a 360-Spider.

Question, how have most guys had the best luck selling your older cars? I will post it here in the classified of course but wondering what other venues you have found to be the best values?

    Thanks,

Your maintenance wallet will become thinner. If you've been doing your own work, I'm pretty sure that the 360 is going to take you to the shop more often. Personally I enjoy the maintenance work too, so I wouldn't want to give it up. Good luck, though.

You are incorrect ...360 is not difficult to work on either. It may be easier...

360 is step up ...because it is newer technology which may not appeal to everyone

    Kim,

If you're an FCA member you might consider a listing in their monthly bulletin.

Fchat ads are also a good place to start, but I think you have to be a subscribed member of the site to post an ad. It's worth the cost of a membership. I sold an '84 Mondial QV and a '78 308 GTS through ads on Fchat, so I can say it worked for me. Oh, and I bought my current car, an '86 328 GTS through an Fchat ad as well.

I found my 308 through an Autotrader ad. I think it and Cars.com, both charge fees for ads, are less likely to attract con artists or exotic car flippers.

Craig's list is plagued with scammers at all levels and you spend a lot of time weeding them out. And it's aimed at the local market.

I've never bought or sold a car on eBay; can't comment on it but others seem content.
