I have a large yard. A good part of it is a three hole golf course. The previous owner made the golf course and built the house. When mowing the lawn I hit many small bumps. Some areas are somewhat smoother but many areas are really bumpy. Not enough to feel just walking. Makes mowing the lawn somewhat unpleasant. I have a large Kubota 3060 rear steer/front mower. The previous owner told me not to use a roller but this mower weighs 1350 lbs without the mower deck. How can a roller be worse than driving this mower on my lawn? Any suggestions?

I'd use a roller. Did the previous owner say why he didn't recommend using one?
