want to unplug the exhaust valves on my f430, what's the best way of doing so...? I see it has a crimped clamp on the rubber vacuum hose... and how do you plug the hose and valve after disconnecting?

The hoses should slip off without removing the clamp. Just twist and pull. You will want to plug the ends with vacuum line plugs or yes even golf tees should you not find the correct plugs. You will also want to cap off the ends of the exhaust valves where the vacuum lines plug in to keep debris out. You can use rubber vacuum line covers or shrink tubing.
