Would you recommend the Pristine Clean for maintenance (on those areas noted above....dash, rear shelf, door panels...) over Lexol leather conditioner?
Yes absolutely. Leatherique was designed from the ground up to maintain the proper pH level required for strong and supple leather.
I gave up on Prestine Clean, just don't need it. I'm sure the experts know how to use it properly. I tried, lather the seat and cover with trash bags in high sun, wipe with cool, damp towel. I could never get it to do much for me. And I've found that regular leatherique oil keeps the leather plenty clean. Long as it's moisturized and supple, doesn't seem like dirt can get trapped in the pours, just wipes off.
Just checking -- you may have gotten the products switched. You use the oil in step one and then remove. Trash bags in the sun aren't particularly recommended and is addressed in the video. Pristine clean as a maintenance product is completely fine and may be enough for some people if they keep up with it. Any questions please let us know.
Lathering, heat, trash bags or a closed car in the sun certainly seems to help the oil as well. But from my perspective the oil is the rejuvenator that keeps the leather supple and it keeps it clean as well, so I use it thinly on an every month or two basis and twice a year lay it on thick when I'm going out of town and the car will be parked somewhere brutally hot. Seems to work well for me. Maybe I could do better but this seems to make the prestine clean unnecessary. For me at least. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
