How would you guys value a clean title no accident car with non-actual mileage. I do believe this was a clerical error but still shows on the carfax and title.

Car needs a major and is in the shop now in line to have the work done, however another car came up that I really want and I am contemplating selling it. The mileage is just under 60k but the car is nice and a triple black spider. The spiders being a latter builds have a more refined ecu's and personally I feel drive better with the wider track and slightly more power.

How much would you ask for the car for a quick sale and reasonable price for both parties? I know that there are really not too many spiders made and feel that they should be sold at a slight premium.

Would love to hear the brotherhood's opinion. Car is not officially for sale but happy to share more details with anyone interested.

    Thanks

When actual mileage is unknown (this normally means it has even more mileage) and this car has higher mileage to start with...

Price is really going to be based on current condition and needs. It will take a hit simply because of the higher mileage. Look at other similar cars and their asking prices and likely start 25% lower.

Thanks Rob:) - The problem is knowing what these cars are actually trading hands at rather than what they are listed for.

Not sure I agree with your statement of a spider bringing a slight premium. Yes, you get the updates of the later cars, but IMHO spiders are soft right now with the older cars. I think as these cars get older they attract more of an enthusiast buyer, and I think that buyer tends to want the more pure driving experience --- thus a coupe. So in my opinion, I think TB's are in more demand and I believe you are seeing this across the various models ---- 355 berlinetta vs 355 spider, 308 GTB vs 308 GTS, 360 gated modena versus 360 gated spider, etc. In all of these cases I cited, I feel the hard top cars are in more demand and bring more money than a spider.

From personal experience, I just found and negotiated a deal for my brother on a TB, and they were much harder to find than a TS or spider. I feel that a really good, average mile (20 to 30k miles) 348 spider with recent service will struggle to find a buyer in the mid 50's. One with 60k miles and no CARFAX or mileage documentation issues will be lucky to fetch 45k, so once you add in the TMU issue, if it were my car I would jump at any offer of 40k plus. Once again, just citing my opinion and hope you get ALL THE MONEY for your car, whatever that may be.

A fat fingered typo on a carfax becomes a red flag say it aint so.

Mileage odometers and the like have one actual purpose, to track it for warrantys thats it once its out of warranty its funny how states say its the "exempt" so its never been for owners of the car or potential buyers.
