How Will Danica Patrick do if She Drives for Ferrari?

Maybe this thread is not the total joke we have made it out to be - she now has a 2nd place on the resume.

And now she actually has some road course experience, thanks to IRC in Detroit.

She certainly does know how to pull over and let her teammate with more points pass.

And hold WAY BACK while everybody else races and crashes.

 

Yes, she definitely has experience being passed and being well behind the action.

 

Cant tell if you're being sarcastic, but 2nd was a gift. She was 5th on the last lap before Schumach... I mean Scott took out Dario.

I do give her kudos for crashing, and then finishing the race as well as she did. She might win a race just yet.

 

Yep, and Marcus Winkelhock has led a Grand Prix in his first race, and Jenson Button won the Hungarian Grand Prix last year.

That is the thing about really subtle sarcasm...sometimes people just aren't sure.

They say she also whined before the race about how bumpy the track was.

 

Jenson, deservedly, well at least worthy. Karthikeyan at USGP, not so much.

 

She would do great bent over the hood!

 

Yes and name ONE driver that would get SO much attention and endorsement money just for being a mid packer hmmm?

I even noticed the newest Motor Trend has her driving various production sports cars around an oval to see which was fastest. Why not pick........some other 8th place finisher from another sport? Yawn......

Yes but Ralf has actually won races.

He's won lower formula championships, and several races in F1. He may have gotten the seat because of his last name, but when given the equipment, he won races.

 

Danica to start 7th in tomorrow's race in Illinois, final round of the season.

More interestingly, Franchitti is on pole and leading Dixon (P6) in the driver standings by 3 points.

 

I think she'd be a little surprised to see a right turn.

 

She qualified 2nd at Mid-Ohio.

 

The chances of Danika Patrick racing for Ferrari as about as high as having a woman pope. This is impossible...

Hmmmm.. I would put $100.00 dollars on Alonso and put him and Patrick in equal cars and do 70 laps on any formula 1 track in the world and I guarantee you that Alonso would beat Patrick so bad she would go home crying.... The drivers in IRL and CART are slow when compared to F1. If you look at tracks where the series all run you will find F1 drivers doing about 10 to 15 seconds faster a lap than the others, look at Montreal.

 

What was the quote from Bernie about Danica?

She'll never go to F1.

However, if she starts winning in IRL, she will move to NASCAR and make a TON of money.

 

I agree she will never go to F1. A FIA GT or LMGT Ferrari 575 or 430 might be possible however...
