How would you match bricks on an angle?

    Say that you wanted to create a brick structure in the shape of a triangle. The three corners are not square angles.

    What would be the nicest way to match the bricks? Just build straight walls and let them touch at the inner edge? or - come up with some other pleasing "interleaved" scheme?

    Note that I dont want to just pour concrete angles to make the point junctions.

    BTW - the bricks have the usual internal portholes so cannot be cut to all the angles.

    Not entirely sure what you are asking, but if you are talking about designs. Something like this, extend a couple of bricks outwards, and create something that looks like this, if you can notice it:

    EDIT: Just noticed you are in Texas, many homes in my area have this. My house has it as well. Some people actually just use stone instead of the brick that goes outwards, it looks okay, depending on the style/color of brick used.

    I think he means a triangular shaped house, not a peaked roof. 3 walls instead of 4.

    They have brick saws, they also fire "special shapes" to get such things done...

    Not ALL bricks have holes, solid pavers to match are available....

    Call Elgin Brick, man....made in Texas!

    We toured the plant, in Architecture School.....

    Where did you go to school; here in TX?

    How about a triangular brick-veneeer bulding with brick inside corners touching, with a 3" round pipe column attached to both roof structure and foundation set in the v-shaped voids.

    Columns could be structural or non, either way would give a look of structural sophistication.

    Framing and joint integrity would need to be worked out by an architect!
