I shouldn't have said they are not homologated...they PUs are still under homologation from 2014. The teams have until the end of this season to homologate their 2015 PUs.

Spending tokens during the season is development...when all the tokens are spent, the PU will be submitted for 2015 homologation. That is, each iteration of token spending does not require and is not the same as homologation.

The "loophole" is that the intention was for the 2015 homologation to be completed by Feb 28, 2015, but they forgot to put that in writing so the 3 returning teams get until the end of this year and this year only.

 

100% agreed! We're on the same page.

Furthermore, Honda also has (IIRC) 9 tokens to use this year - The average of what the returnee's had left as of last Feb 28th.
