Our man with the camera here in Williamsburg is Chris Schlumpf, and he's just so talented. We conducted a photoshoot this evening to generate photos for the promotional website for the 'Ferraris on the Vine' event here at the Williamsburg Winery on May 1st and 2nd, 2010. We had the 355, a 360 Spider, and an F430 present for the shoot. There's some great photos coming, but this was the first one passed along. The car is at the Winery down below the fermentation tanks, and makes for a great contrast. We have a landing page up at www.ferrarisonthevine.com, and will have it built-out in the next week or two. If you're interested in attending, email me at [email protected] Cheers, Bob Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is my idea of a terrific setting, a mixture of old and new, dull and brite. My ideal is a 100 yr old Oak Timber framed barn, sheet rocked on the inside and brightly lit for a shop and I am working on making that happen....one day. Small details suggest Bruces 355 was there just before this photo was taken....
OK buster, I've had all I can take of your cheap shots...I'm gettin an attorney to deal with your a**!!!!!!!!! A mixture of old and new???? You don't need a 100 year old barn to get that effect...any picture of a car from 1950 onward with you standing beside it will be sufficient. Small details??????????????? That ain't nothin...what you see was deposited by a 50mph drive thru....just wait till I park it... Anybody that uses teats for wheel studs needs to be permanently banned from the "F" community. BTW, if your sheet rock work is like your framing I wouldn't be calling it a shop...we call them "outhouses" down here. Oh, as for the brightly lit thingy...you'll never get it with a wood burning fireplace.....FYI, you have to upgrade to electricity.
Clearly, a couple of guys who just love each other. Hey, Ferraris on the Vine 2010 will feature: GTO vs. GTO, as we have David E. Davis, Jr. (of Car and Driver and Automobile fame) coming, plus a 250 GTO and the very car C&D used in the test in 1964! But the heck with that, we can feature: Bruce vs. Dave- the battle for insult supremacy! Be There!! You guys up for it?
Nope, rather see the photo's of cars in those settings. I believe that shows the details of the car in the very best setting possible and I have never been able to duplicate that. My highest compliments to those involved. My comment revolved a little detail of a floor stain leading up to the engine area. I only saw that after studying the photo in great detail while trying to understand why I admired it so much. In all honesty I have tried to capture that feeling and setting in a photo so many times, when I see it done properly....that is perfection in every respect with no insult intended what so ever. My apologies.
No apologies necessary... just kidding around. Not oil stains, but wine stains as it was shot on the crush pad of the Williamsburg Winery. I happen to think this is a better shot, but Chris (the photog) prefers the 1st one..... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like the second cropping of the photo better. That is a beautiful facility ---- "functionality meets character". ....... Come to think of it.... that may not be a bad slogan for Ferrari, SpA ??? !!!! Trademark !!!!
I far prefer the second.....the character of the facility with the muted colors against the Rosso. Guess there are pro's and wannabe's, I am of the later.
