I noticed where some owners put 30 mm spacers on the back of their 355's. I have a 95 F355 spyder that I purchased new HRE 547R's for. They suggested that I review the fit prior to mounting the tires. I did that last night and noticed a considerable difference in offset (approx. 1 1/4 inch or maybe 30 mm). My concern was that looking down from the top I could easily see the outside bead of the rim, with the suspension not compressed because the tire wasn't mounted. Has anyone else who purchased HRE's or HRE 547R noticed the substantial offset difference? Would you consider this normal when you installed a 30 mm spacer?

Are you running a 30mm spacers with HRE wheels? By the way you have described about test fitting the wheel, your car is still on jack or jackstand, so it may look a little off because the wheel is not cambered in. Some pictures might help?

I have 545R HRE on my 95 F355. I had a problem with rear offsets. Talk to Guy at HRE . When I first got my wheels I had the wheels sticking out of the wheel well by 30mm. These were the same offsets they used on other F355s but on my car, they stuck out. HRE made some custom offset centers for my wheels and they fit perfectly. Guy had said they ran into this problems with other F355's. With the same offset, some fit perfectly and others stuck out too much

No there are no spacers involved. As noted the difference between the stock wheel offset and the HRE appears to be approx. 1 1/4" minimum. Yes it is on the jack since the tire isn't mounted there really isn't an appropriate place to compress the suspension.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I was hallucinating at first since they were so far off. Measuring from the disc rotor to the outside bead on both the original and the HRE showed that the difference to be approx. 1 1/4". I will contact Guy and thanks again.
