    Hey,

    From Autosport:

    The full story: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/83874

So, I guess in addition to their other issues they've now got to do their own tubs as well before next year.... If it weren't for Colin Kolles and Geoff Willis I'd guess these guys would be dead next year - With 'em, maybe they've got a chance - As long as the money man doesn't lose interest of course.....

    Cheers,
    Ian

After Willis' comments, I'm sure Dallara weren't too happy anywho.

    Indeed. ;)

It seems Dallara can build a "world class" GP2 car (etc), but F1 is just a little too much..... I love it! :)

Seriously, what'cha reckon about the "Colin & Geoff" show? - I reckon as long as the $ keep flowing, they might be a dark horse next year......

    Cheers,
    Ian

Dallara has an abysmal record in F1

No classification nor points in 1988, 8th in 1989 (8 Points), 15th (0 points) in 1990, 8th in 1991 (5 Points) and 10th in 1992 (2 Points), and now dead last with no points in 2010. I don't really know what NameDuJour Racing expected from them.

    +1

However, IIRC, there were many here (possibly including you & me?) who said HRT (EDIT: Campos back then) were being smart by going to Dallara...... "Experienced!", "Successful in the little leagues!", blah, blah... Oops.... ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Dallara reminds me of Tecno and Tolman in this respect...F1 being a bridge too far.

Well, it -did- make more sense than rolling their own for the rookie year.

Hispania cars have been awful as everyone expected given the situation, but Dallara normally design a fairly decent car. Hispania going elsewhere might be an error in judgment.

I'd like to see Panoz with a chassis in F1. I wonder if HRT will try to manufacture their own, or outsource it.

Panoz/GForce got their @$$ handed to them in IRL (by Dallara, no less), what makes you think they could succeed in F1?

    The Serbian Vulture.... (Stefanovich) ?

I think..... I believe he's intending to apply for entry next season, but the whole Toyota thing has gone very quiet recently.

    Cheers,

Honestly that Toyota car would easily be faster than this HRT piece of crap.

They where quite fast last year, at the start anyhow...IIRC the developed the 2010 car relatively quickly into the 2009 season because the brawn was silly quick, so it could have been a good chassis again this year...

To be fair with Dallara, it´s hard to build a F1 car when you´re not getting paid for it.
