Huge FERRARI Boutique to open in Rio de Janeiro...............

Was in the Sao Conrado ´Fashion Mall´ last night in Rio de Janeiro.

It is probably tied with ´Shopping Leblon´ as the extreme high end boutique shopping center in the entire city........there´s security everywhere and absolutely no one even semi-inscrupulous looking is allowed to enter, if you get my drift. It´s where the uber wealthy and famous locals go to spend their money and their time.......I was just a well dressed tourist.

Walking along the second floor I am stopped dead in my tracks by an enormous boarded up retail storefront location that is probably 2,000 square feet in size. It is all red and FERRARI is emblazoned across the wall with the scuderia logo and ferrari.com as well as authorized retailer printed across the bottom. So I talk to the mall concierge who tells me that it will be Brasil´s first and at this time, only, official and authorized Ferrari retail boutique in the country.

Scratching my head I started to wonder how they will do, when I realised it was right next to a bespoke jewellery store that had R$150,000 necklaces and watches in the window, and all of the sales people in there had clients at their desks.
