I'm thinking about making building my own humidor as a fun summer project to keep me busy on lazy weekends.

Anyone have their own experience building one and want to share the results or any advice?

    Thanks

    Keith

I've built a humidor, but it's a walk-in and doesn't really apply to what you're looking to do (presuming you mean tabletop).

Stick with spanish cedar for the interior and make sure the seals are tight to prevent moisture loss. If your local tobacconist has nice models (like Elie Bleu) have a look at those to get ideas.

    Otherwise, the sky's the limit!

The walk in is where I would eventually like to get to but that'll be a ways down the road

I've got a nice sized table top that can fit 75-100 sticks so I was thinking about converting an old piece of furniture into a large one that I could store boxes as I build up a stock pile to age.

Right now I'm just spit balling ideas in my head. I know I could find something to fit my needs at the local smoke shop but thought it might be fun project.

It will be a fun Summer project. Do plenty of research online. From my experience it would be a good idea to at least line the interior with Spanish Cedar.

That box looks amazing. I love the design. Out of curiosity what were you selling the boxes for?
