Does anybody have old (10+ years ago) Ferrari pictures from the area? I’ve looked through some threads but haven’t found most of the cars that used to be around here. Several 355s, Scuderia, 456, and some others.

Also, are there any locals from Huntsville still active on here?

A decent # of Bham members on here and I saw quite a number of Fcars when I lived there up until 2018.

@NeuroBeaker is from Huntsville so maybe he can chime in regarding your area.

How far back do you want to go? I have a bunch I took of a 308 down on Whitesburg Dr in 1983 and we had a great drive with the FCA SE chapter up there in around 05 that I have some pics from. We drove from the Parkway down to Big Cove. I have some from something around early 06 as well.

I remember going on a drive that ended up at Cathedral Caverns State Park. This was in October 2004. Is that one of the ones you're referring to?

Anything and everything would be amazing. A person who lives a street over has a brown 400i that I’ve seen maybe twice in the past two weeks. I’ve been trying to collect many old recent pictures from Huntsville since Samir can’t be reached anymore on here or HuntsvilleCarScene.

We did one that got local news coverage.

I'll get the pics up in the next day or so

What is it with Huntsville and marrone Ferraris?

I took these summer 1983. That Burger King it still there on Whitesburg but Big Brothers grocery store is a Mexican restaurant now.

I have more of these and then.

this is so cool. I live very close to here and it’s even cooler to see a nostalgic Ferrari picture there. Thank you for posting this!

I'm originally from Huntsville and live here now, but I had a 20 year gap living in the UK so I'm reacquainting myself with Huntsville as an adult. I've not yet got a Ferrari, so I'm an enthusiast who isn't yet an owner, however I'd love to meet up with other locals who are on the site.

@JoeTSI is also in Huntsville. We had lunch a few weeks back and had a great conversation. @powerpig is very close by and is full of great adventure stories.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Do a search with the phrase vintage pictures I took
Put in my name and you will find a thread with more of these and the story behind them.

You won't believe that car now.

Looks like the 308 has a dent in the left front corner?

    Yep

The doctor that owned it shared a parking lot with that grocery store. A lady backed into it. In fact THAT'S where he was parked that day while at work when I took those pictures. It's sitting out in the middle of everywhere.

I was wondering if someone would notice that.

I went back later that summer with a better camera. It was fixed by then as you can see in the pics in that other thread I started several years ago

I was on my phone last night and copy/paste is a little tricky.

Go here and see the rest of those pics of that marrone 308. There are two sets so keep scrolling

I’ve been slowly checking them out. That spot is where a 991.2 GT3 always parks for the pharmacy at the end of that lot nowadays. I’ve taken a bunch of pictures of cars around here in the same format. I may upload them here someday.

I'd be interested in this as well. It's very interesting to see the Ferrari history from the area, and speaking to Clay there are many more inbound. I'm currently without an F-car but we decided that we are heading to Scottsdale in January to see what we can find during Auction Week and the surrounding dealers.

There’s some pretty good heat here. I’ve seen a bunch of good Ferraris around here within the past six months or so.

There’s a doctor here who owns the Pista Spider, Speciale, red 812, red F8, and a 512BB. Quite a good collection.

to my knowledge, there’s a handful of other cars:

    - 2 x Rosso Corsa Testarossas
    - 6 x 488s (Rosso Corsa spider, Argento Nurburgring coupe, Nero Daytona coupe, Blu Corsa spider, Grigio Scuro spider, and a Bianco Italia spider)
    - 1 x Grigio Titanio 812 with painted shields that resides near Athens (there was a prior Nero Daytona 812 that was traded for what seems like the newer Rosso Corsa one above)
    - 1 x Rosso Mugello Cali T
    - 1 x first gen Rosso Corsa California
    - 1 x TDF Blue 355
    - 3 x 458s (Nero Daytona spider, Grigio Silverstone coupe, Grigio Titanio coupe)
    - 1 x GTC4 Lusso (V12) in white (a black V12 Lusso was totaled in December on the street leaving my neighborhood)
    - 1 Rosso Mugello F12
    - 1 Nero Daytona 360 6-Speed
    - 6 F430s (Argento Nurburgring 6-speed coupe, Grigio Silverstone coupe, 2 Rosso Corsa coupes, and 2 Rosso Corsa Spiders)
    - 1 brown 400i I’ve seen a few times near Hickory Flats (I haven’t seen Judge’s red one in a while)

Others exist but I haven’t found pictures of them yet or haven’t seen them in a while.

There’s a kind owner who lives up the road and he’s gone through several cars. (Giallo 355 Spider, Rosso Corsa F430 Spider, Rosso Corsa 458 Spider) I’m not really sure if he’s getting anything else anytime soon.

The 488 Spider (Blue Corsa) you're thinking of might be in The Ledges.

I've also seen a 488 GTB (Rosso Corsa) and an F430 (Rosso Corsa) in Hampton Cove.

I've seen a Giallo 308 or 328 (forgive me, I didn't see it for long enough to properly identify it) in Owens Cross Roads.

And a Giallo 360 Modena in Providence.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Add an 84 308 GTS with a supercharger to this list.

I don’t think I’ve seen a 308 in several years around Huntsville at all. I remember hearing about a yellow one but never saw it.

I’d make amendments to that list I created before because I’ve accounted for 4-5 more cars to add. Huntsville is definitely a Ferrari town. Not really any McLarens and very few Lamborghinis.

I believe the yellow 328 in post #4 above actually came down from Tennessee for the gathering. But that was a long time ago!
