It's official: Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder (2015): the Huracan with unlimited headroom by CAR Magazine
In this image, seems like if they had made the wheels bigger by photoshop. The car looks really bad proportioned (In fact the closed Huracan is). Those wheels as big make the car looks like a wrong made scale model or something and nothing sporty at all... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow! It looks great as a Spyder even with the roof up. Another winner that will sell in huge volume. Image Unavailable, Please Login
ZOMG that yellow car looks great! I like it better w/ the top up than the coupe. Helps clean up the rear end, and separates the upper intake more from the cabin. Just awesome.
More pics. Totally loving this car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It kinda has the same problem that I found in the 458 spider. By making the roll bars part of the body, it seems that when you are sitting in it you're really not in convertible. It feels more like a targa with the top off. You really don't get the feeling you're "in the open" and more like "the top is gone". There's not the sense of being exposed in the air stream It is a pretty design though and interesting they stayed with a soft top. Maybe they will start the trend back.
Gorgeous! This is one to have. Sorry 488 turbo Safety regs force modern converts into targa type affairs. Will never see exposed drivers like in old e type jag ever again
uh oh could be problem with this beauty no roll hoops so no track driving! that would suck and put the hard top 488s back in picture.
These statements don't sound correct to me. Are these very recent, new safety regulations? Maybe for a non-U.S. country? Please let us know as I'm unaware of them. Same questions for your statement about no track driving for a car like this. There are a variety of convertibles that have been produced in recent years, they do not have fixed roll structures in them but rather ones that are hidden and get deployed in case of rollover. This has been all that's been needed for street AND track as far as I'm aware. My Gallardo Spyder has no structure behind my head whatsoever, the car was produced and sold through 2014. I have taken mine to the track here in California (land of litigation and protectiveness), and as a side note I run it with the top down.
well Gallardo spiders will not be allowed on tracks in the northeast. forget Watkins glen, Pocono, limerock, etc. same for audi r8 spider. hardtops like 458/488 are ok though. those ferraris are probably ok with roof down too since has solid faring behind the driver with a roll hoop. as far as safety regulations, just compare how exposed drivers were in vintage convertibles compared to modern. windshields, door, etc are much higher now compared to vintage drivers having most of body exposed. its airbags, etc
Agree with you 100%, in fact to me it makes all these new spiders look less pretty than the last generation with the roof up.
