A Ferrari GTB 308 sits under a collapsed carport damaged by Hurricane Jeanne Sunday, Sept. 26 at a mobile home park in Port St. Lucie.

Further proof that 308 prices have fallen too low.

Look at the Ansa pipes, it's probably a Euro car.

Maybe it was the cost of a 60k service interval that placed the owner there in the trailer park.

I dunno. Something just doesn't look right to me. Maybe it's the angle of the photo but the lines just seem off. Could it be a Fiero?

I'd'a thought y'all would praise the owner for gettin' his priorities straight:
You can sleep in a Ferrari, but you can't drive a house. ;)

Ya know you could be right , look at the area around the license plate and tail lights , doesn't that panel have some contours that are missing????

I've compared it to some pics in "Original Ferrari V8" and it just doesn't look right. Besides, what kind of moron leaves his Ferrari parked outside his trailer while a Cat 3 hurricane is bearing down on you?!

Actually the contours are correct for a fiberglass bodied car. I am almost sure that this was one of the cars I looked at when searching for my GTB.

It looks real to me, particularly in the area around the rear window. It appears to have the curved back glass of a Ferrari. The back panel looks a bit wide, but that is probably because the lower rear valance is missing. Also, most of the conversions I've seen have the US rear deck with the vents connected rather than the pre-'78 and euro deck shown on this car.

The use of a wide angle lens is causing the distortion some of you are seeing.

By design the 308 has always been the trailer park queen of Ferraris . LOL :)

So, what is that supposed to mean???

One thing is for sure, this hillbilly or whatever you wanna call it drives a true and genuine Ferrari and he certainly is the king of gypsies over there!!
No matter what but it's not funny to see a Fcar standing there being victim of some hurricane..... I feel sorry for both car and owner.

    Salute,
    JR

Don't be so thin skinned. But, as pointed out numerous times in publications around the world if not for poor sales of the Dino 308GT4 in the North American market, the 308 and 328 and possible even all the other V8 powered cars up to the present 360 and future 430 would have all been badged as Dinos. Then there would now be a www.dinochat.com too. :) But, I loved my former Dino 328 and Dino 348 almost as much as I did my Ferrari 330GTC and Fiat 400GT, Fiat TR and current Fiat BB512i.

Not a Euro with the short indent for a US Plate. The Euro Glass's had either no indent or long. I think he was over visiting his girlfriend and slept in too late to get outta town.

I lost my '79 308 GTS to flooding thanks to Hurricane Ivan (the trailerpark made it through alright!) At this rate, these things will be rare before too long!

    Frank,

I once called my 330 an overgrown Fiat but it was pointed out that I was incorrect.
