Does anyone have an extra Hot Wheels 1:18 288 GTO they'll part with for a fair price? They seem to be scarce. I have the Enzo, F40 and F50, I'm missing the last piece of the puzzle.

Sorry but I cant ... its one of my favorite models ... sure I have a couple Exoto/CMC that are far superior in design but the HW car is pretty well made and looks fantastic. It'll go to the grave with me.

What is your budget like? A HW Elite version of the 288 GTO will be out this year for $70 - expensive yes but for a special car like the GTO it is worth it.

If I remember correctly, I bought my car in Europe - I got a very nice price for the car itself (like $25) but with shipping it came to about $35 (I bought it along with 2 other cars).

    Ebay?

I think mine was from Bburago and I had to give it a good work over to make it look a bit more authentic. Had a beige interior! No 288 GTO ever had that.

Their price is $150 for the std car. I think Dave wanted something a lot cheaper.

If $150 is the market price, so be it. I just don't want it that bad.

I can wait a few more months for the Elite edition that will retail for half as much.

thats what i plan to do. There is no point in spending $150 on a model that retailed for 29.99 when it came out.

what is the difference between the normal one and the elite?? and when will it go out? I live in Mexico and go to McAllen sometimes, will it be hard to find there? and can anyone show me a page where I can see the original HW 288 GTO model and the elite one?

sorry for all the questions, is just that I want that car also.

Edit-- I have the Ferrari Enzo Whips and I want the F50 and F40 and offcourse the 288 GTO
