Here are a couple of shot with the covers off of the Hyperflow Cats I have installed on my F355 Spider. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Manifolds were repaired by QV London a couple of years ago. I just wanted to take a picture before they yellowed from the heat.
Yes I had it polished some time ago, when I did my clutch. It cost about $350 at a street rod shop. It has to be one of my favorite pieces of automobile art! I don't have any aspirations of winning a concours and so some day when I have the suspension re-done, I'll probably have the upper and lower control arms chromed along with the springs. I look at my car as something to improve over what Ferrari did (which isn't hard in some cases) - Note the stainless brake lines - No awards for this car but I like it.
Ha, I just noticed your avator. Do you have a pic of the rear of your 355 showing the Diff wiht the bumper on? I thnk it looks cool.
Actually - the bumper is on the car when I took the shot, except the car was on my lift. As you can see from the rear shot only a small portion shows. I did the polish job mostly for me because I knew I would only see most of it when it was on the lift. Most people can see it from the rear, but don't know its not supposed to look like that. Like the polish job looks cool. Any noticeable improvement in power? Or the coolness of the engine bay? I am thinking of installing test pipes on my 355 to cool things down a bit as it gets extremely hot in the engine bay from the cats which can't be good for anything. BTW Smog Police I am not required to smog my car in Nevada where its located.
I've been fighting a check engine light with worn out CATS. I believe the engine won't run as stably because I believe the control system senses the worn CAT and may go into a non normal mode. I'm not an expert on this, just a hunch. Put Hyperflows on and keep the check engine light out.
